Job summary

StoneX Group Inc. is seeking a Credit Risk professional to join the institutional operations team in a hybrid role. You will assess credit risk, set limits for a diverse client portfolio, and support reporting and system projects to guide risk decisions.

The candidate will analyze financial statements, monitor exposures, and collaborate with Legal and front office on agreements. A Bachelor’s in finance/economics/accounting is required, with 4+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of applicable work experience, preferably within a financial institution or in a risk capacity.
• Strong financial aptitude in credit analysis and/or financial statement analysis.
• Exposure to financial institutions: Registered Investment Advisors, Broker Dealers, Banks, Insurance companies.
• Working knowledge of operations and settlement procedures for regulated financial entities.
• Knowledge of financial institutions regulatory rules and procedures.
• Familiarity with network and database technologies.
• Knowledge of programming languages including Python/SQL/R/Power BI is preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with credit risk management tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess the financial strength and credit risk of institutional clients by conducting financial statement analysis and rating assignments.
• Prepare credit reviews and approve limits to enable trading, settlement, and clearing based on authority levels.
• Monitor and manage client exposures daily within established limits.
• Build and sustain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
• Develop reporting tools to support risk monitoring and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Legal and front office to negotiate securities agreements (MRA, GMRA, MSLA, MSFTA).
• Negotiate and administer exchange of guarantees, netting, and Letters of Credit to mitigate counterparty risk.
