Nomura is seeking a Credit Officer to manage a North America and LatAm Financial Institutions portfolio. You will perform credit risk analysis, assign ratings, and approve trades across Derivatives, Repo, Stock Lending and MBS, interfacing with senior risk management.

The role requires 3+ years in FI credit risk, strong financial statement analysis, and experience with ISDA/CSA documentation. Based in New York, the position offers a global risk environment and impact on risk decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Credit Risk experience covering Financial Institutions.
• Strong familiarity with financial statement analysis and credit risk metrics.
• Background in trading products in the Fixed Income and Equities spaces.
• Experience negotiating credit terms for legal documentation (ISDA/CSA, MRA, MSLA, MSFTA).
• Comfortable interacting with senior management, communicating within Risk Management as well as the relevant business areas.

Responsabilités

• Credit Risk Analysis across Commercial Banks, Broker-Dealers, Insurance Companies, CCPs, Mortgage Originators and Mortgage REITs.
• Assign internal credit ratings and limits; monitor exposure usage and breaches; recommend actions.
• Approve daily trade requests for Derivatives, Repo, Stock Lending, MBS, etc.
• Analyze ad-hoc deal-specific transactions and present risk recommendations to senior management.
• Track regulatory, industry and counterparty developments; take appropriate actions.
• Lead counterparty due diligence via calls and in-person visits.
• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews for Financial Institutions sectors.
• Contribute to global risk changes initiatives with cross-functional coordination.
