Job Description

Vertiv, a global leader in critical infrastructure solutions, seeks a Sr. Credit Risk Analyst at its headquarters in Westerville, Ohio, to join our Americas Finance team.

This role supports the Credit department within the Commercial Finance team, handling credit reviews for new and existing customers, with support from the Credit Coordinator to manage the process from request receipt to decision communication.

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst has credit approval authority up to $1,000,000 and makes recommendations to senior approvers as appropriate. The role also involves departmental reporting, monitoring order holds, and assisting with audit-related tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Render quick, prudent credit decisions within policy and authorized limits, meeting SLAs.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customers to gather financial information supporting revenue opportunities.
• Review credit hold queues regularly to support timely order reviews and releases.
• Manage SOX-related reporting around customer credit limits for monthly reviews.
• Conduct periodic credit reviews on existing customers to ensure justified credit lines.
• Facilitate credit decision-making on at-risk accounts within the Credit and Collections team.
• Lead reporting on credit holds and workload prioritization.
• Assist in updating process and workflow documentation.
• Design and implement process improvements to enhance credit operations and mitigate risks.
• Utilize credit risk mitigation tools such as Letters of Credit, Joint Checks, Mechanic’s Liens, and Payment Bonds.
• Release credit holds upon approval, ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• BA or BS in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 4+ years in B2B Credit and Accounts Receivable.
• Experience interpreting credit applications, trade reports, references, and financial statements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to synthesize large data sets into concise summaries.
• Ohio Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Oracle ERP preferred.
