Work Schedule

Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.

The Opportunity

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst is responsible for aiding the Independent Risk Management (IRM) Testing and Monitoring Team in evaluating Ally's Consumer Auto portfolio. IRM's responsibilities include providing an objective, critical assessment of risks and evaluation of whether Ally remains aligned with its risk appetite. Responsibilities for this position primarily include reviewing and evaluating adherence to credit risk policies. The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for summarizing and communicating test results to the Director – Credit Risk.

IRM maintains and implements Ally's risk management framework and independently oversees risk-taking activities, sets parameters representative of a strong risk culture that encourages an informed, measured, disciplined, and balanced approach to risk-taking and fair and honest treatment of customers, counterparties, and employees.

This position is within the IRM Credit Risk Consumer Auto Monitoring and Testing Team.

In office role with hybrid schedule - Ally work location is Lewisville TX.

The Work Itself
  • Support and complete a risk-based annual testing and monitoring plan; report on results
  • Work with the broader Monitoring and Testing team to identify, assess, measure, mitigate, control, monitor, test, report, and escalate risks, including aggregated risks across the enterprise
  • Credibly challenge and advise the Business Line with respect to the management of risks
  • Independently test the efficiency of controls
  • Document (i.e., formal report) and articulate areas of concern to the Business
  • Participate in the review and challenge of BL credit policies, standards, and procedures
Skills
The Skills You Bring
  • 3+ years in the financial services industry required, preferably in auto lending or an Internal Audit role
  • Prior experience writing Issues and reports.
  • Underwriting and or Audit experience preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement policy testing and monitoring strategies of consumer auto portfolio.
  • Strong familiarity with risk and control concepts.
  • Effective collaboration at all levels of the organization.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently and initiate proactively.
  • Ability to support multiple assignments and collaborators, self-prioritize workload, and coordinate with teammates to ensure that deadlines are met.

Base Pay Range

$70,000 - $120,000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
