Qualifications

• Ability to analyze financial data and assess risk for loan decisions.
• Deep understanding of credit risk management, underwriting standards, and analytics.
• Strong communication and training skills to convey expectations.
• Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, credit, or related field.
• 10+ years in lending/credit, with CRE, commercial, and agricultural exposure.
• Proficiency in loan processes and financial statement analysis.
• Experience with loan policy and portfolio analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain credit risk appetite, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with lending teams to balance growth with prudent risk management.
• Provide portfolio oversight and guidance related to credit administration and underwriting.
• Approve loans within limits and ensure consistent underwriting standards across all lending lines.
• Oversee portfolio risk metrics, including concentrations, stress testing, risk ratings, and criticized/classified assets.
• Serve as liaison with regulators and participate in regulatory examinations and audits.
• Guide Collections Manager responsible for retail and indirect loans and ensure targets are met.
• Monitor higher-risk loans and overdraft activity; mitigate potential losses.
• Review and approve loans for charge-off due to non-payment or other issues.
• Assist in overseeing collection of overdue payments across lending lines, in compliance with regulations.
