Job summary

Farm Credit Bank of Texas seeks a Credit Officer II to underwrite and monitor commercial and agricultural credit relationships. You will analyze financial statements, assess risk, and structure loans while collaborating with Lending Team and Farm Credit associations to ensure sound lending decisions.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in lending or credit analysis, experience with large and complex credits, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of lending or credit analysis experience.
• Experience with complex credits and large loans over $5 million.
• Experience with official loans, excess loans, participations, direct loans, or correspondent lending.
• Strong knowledge of credit administration, financial analysis, accounting standards, lending procedures.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, forecasting, cash flow, collateral analysis, and appraisal standards.
• Ability to identify, measure, monitor, and manage risk within credits and portfolios.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis, underwriting, credit administration, monitoring, and due diligence for commercial and agricultural credit relationships.
• Analyze borrower financial statements, cash flow, repayment capacity, collateral, industry conditions, transaction structures, and risk trends.
• Support structuring, evaluation, negotiation, and closing of complex credits.
• Monitor loan and participation relationships for emerging risks and covenant concerns.
• Prepare clear, well-supported credit analyses, underwriting documents, and portfolio summaries.
• Partner with Lending Team and Credit leadership in analysis, servicing, reporting, and portfolio management.
• Communicate with Farm Credit associations to guide sound lending practices and portfolio considerations.
• Help research and resolve legal, title, collateral, and other credit-related matters.
• Develop and maintain loan participation and correspondent banking relationships.
• Develop industry and portfolio analyses to support lending decisions and projects.
