Zusammenfassung

AB CarVal is seeking a Senior Associate, Credit Manager to build and oversee underwriting guidelines and credit criteria for U.S. loan portfolios sourced through correspondent networks.

You will assess credit risk, analyze financial data, and set limits and terms, reporting to the Director, Investment Operations in Minnesota. The role requires 5+ years in credit risk, strong Excel modeling, and solid regulatory knowledge.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in credit risk management in the mortgage or banking industries.
• Knowledge of credit analysis techniques, scoring models, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel including financial modeling and analysis.
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated organization and detail orientation skills.

Aufgaben

• Create and maintain underwriting guidelines and credit criteria.
• Develop mortgage originator onboarding and diligence processes in collaboration with internal functions.
• Assess, manage, and monitor credit risk for loan portfolios sourced via correspondent networks.
• Evaluate creditworthiness by analyzing financial data and credit reports.
• Determine appropriate credit limits, terms, and conditions for investments.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee due diligence reviews of loans sourced via networks.
• Monitor portfolio performance and conduct credit reviews for risks and opportunities.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies to protect investments and optimize returns.
• Maintain QA review processes with third-party vendors to ensure compliance.
• Provide insights to support investment decisions and portfolio management; report to senior management.
• Continuously improve credit risk assessment processes.
