Job summary

You will review delinquent accounts, contact members to resolve delinquencies, and apply appropriate collection techniques to recover funds while upholding the Credit Union’s professional image.

Education requires a high school diploma or equivalent; candidates should have at least one year of phone customer

• One year of phone customer service experience.
• Previous collection experience.
• Ability to type.
• Solid computer skills.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Perform collection activities on delinquent member accounts, including Visa, lines of credit, secured loans, signature loans, real estate loans, home equity lines of credit, and returned items.
• Review delinquent accounts to determine probable reasons and contact members to resolve delinquencies.
• Utilize various collection techniques to promptly collect on delinquent accounts.
• Maintain the Credit Union’s professional image throughout the collection process.

Job description

Responsible for being proficient in repossession, bankruptcy, and deceased accounts. Perform collection activities associated with various delinquent member accounts, including Visa credit and debit cards, lines of credit, secured loans, signature loans, real estate loans, home equity lines of credit, negative shares, and returned checks. Review delinquent accounts to determine probable reasons for account status, and contacts members to resolve the delinquencies. Utilizes various techniques, as circumstances indicate, to promptly collect on delinquent accounts. Ensures that the Credit Union's professional image is maintained.

Education/Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent.
