Johnstone Supply The Balsan Group is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to lead credit and collections for our wholesale HVAC distribution business. This role collaborates with Branch Managers, Sales, Customers, Accounting, and Executive Leadership to support sales growth while protecting the company’s financial position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in credit, collections, accounts receivable, or financial management.
• Experience with contractor, commercial, or trade customers is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customers to establish credit limits and terms.
• Monitor exposure, payment history, AR aging, and financial performance.
• Lead collections on past-due and high-risk accounts.
• Balance sales opportunities with credit risk with Sales and Branch Management.
• Manage credit insurance claims, agencies, and legal collections.
• Track DSO, cash flow, bad debt, credit exposure, and report trends.
• Oversee lien waivers and documentation for construction/commercial accounts.
• Improve credit, collections, cash application, and onboarding processes.
• Lead and develop Credit & Collections, Cash Application, Banking Reconciliations, and Credit Card Processing teams.
