Job summary

OSG USA, INC. is seeking a Credit and Collections Clerk III to support timely payments and minimize credit risk in Saint Charles, IL. The role focuses on credit reviews, collections activity, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve disputes.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and solid accounting knowledge. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4–6 years in credit and collections/accounts receivable or related financial clerical work, or 4–6 years of OSG customer knowledge with regular customer service and shipping/receiving.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practical application in manual and automated systems.
• Proficiency in math and business interest.
• Excellent numerical and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and monitor customer accounts for credit terms compliance.
• Contact customers via phone and email to collect overdue accounts.
• Perform advanced collection activities including negotiating payment arrangements.
• Evaluate customer creditworthiness using reports and payment history.
• Maintain records of collection activities and account status.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare aging reports and delinquency trend analyses for management.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies and regulations.
• Assist in audits with invoices and reports.
• Train junior clerks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
