Commercial Banking Company in Georgia is seeking a senior credit analyst to support the lending function. This highly analytical role reviews personal and corporate financial statements, credit reports, appraisals, tax returns, and market data to assess credit risk.

The candidate will prepare underwriting memos, analyze loan relationships, mentor junior staff, and assist with collections and annual reviews while ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business field (Accounting or Finance).
• 5+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or lending.
• Knowledge of banking procedures and regulations.
• Self-motivated, punctual, reliable.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication; team player.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and technical skills; MS Word/Excel/Outlook proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new and renewal loan requests including financials and collateral.
• Develop narrative credit memos documenting underwriting.
• Review existing loan relationships and update analyses.
• Present and collaborate with loan officers for sound credit decisions.
• Mentor junior Credit Analyst.
• Assist with collections (repossessions, foreclosures, bankruptcies).
• Perform annual loan reviews and update credit files.
• Prepare periodic reports (quarterly substandard reviews).
• Assist in calculating the ALLL and advise on monthly allocations.
• Ensure lending staff comply with laws, regulations, and bank policy.
