Heritage Bank in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Credit Analyst to support Commercial Bankers with underwriting, portfolio management and customer service for a diverse loan portfolio.

The role requires analyzing financial statements, cash flows, and collateral, preparing spreads and projections, and ensuring compliance with bank policies. On-site, full-time with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or relevant discipline required.
• Level II - 3+ years recent commercial credit underwriting experience, including financial statement analysis and loan structuring.
• Senior level - 5+ years underwriting experience, with knowledge of commercial real estate and C&I lending.
• Accounting and financial analysis skills developed through education and work experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present credit information clearly.
• Knowledge of GAAP, taxation, legal forms and banking regulations.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and cash flow analyses for credit decisions.
• Familiarity with credit reports, industry averages and lending practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office and loan systems; able to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite credits and prepare financial spreads for new loans, renewals and annual reviews.
• Independently analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flows to evaluate repayment ability.
• Assess collateral value, loan structure and write thorough credit memos.
• Monitor covenant compliance and borrower reporting; assist credit decisions.
• Collaborate with Commercial Bankers and interact with clients to collect necessary information.
• Coordinate with Credit Administration on spreads and cash flow analysis.
• Assist with loan renewals, draws, appraisals and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with governing regulations and internal policies.
