Job summary

City Bank in Houston is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to gather and analyze credit information on current and potential borrowers and determine the advisability of lending for diversified loan types. The role supports loan officers, presents loan requests, and promotes business by maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will mentor junior analysts, participate in the hiring process, and coordinate internal training to uphold underwriting policy and compliance.

The Credit Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing credit information on current and potential borrowers; determines the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of loans; assists loan officers in writing loan requests; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.Essential DutiesProven ability to manage all essential duties of the City Bank Credit Analyst position.Prepare comprehensive loan memorandums detailing loan requests and credit quality for loan presentations and approval. Senior Credit Analysts are expected to underwrite credit requests of all sizes and complexity.Participate in the credit review process and insure that all underwriting, policy, and compliance procedures are followed.Efficiently Familiarize oneself with City Bank policy to effectively interpret, apply, and advise on policy.Maintain effective relationships with Senior Management and lending staff and assist Lenders on client calls/meetings.Maintain effective relationships with Senior Management and lending staff and assist Lenders on client calls/meetings.Mentor and train credit analysts as well as coordinate and oversee internal group training.
