Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an advanced Credentialing Specialist to support credentialing, privileging, and medical staff governance within the Medical Staff Administration Department. The role requires applying extensive knowledge, minimal supervision, and coordinating processes with department leadership.

The ideal candidate holds NAMSS CPCS and/or CPMSM, a Bachelor's in a related field, and strong analytical, data, and MS Office skills to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, NCQA, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience/training.
• NAMSS certification CPCS and/or CPMSM preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS Conditions of Participation, NCQA and Title 22 accreditation standards.
• Experience with credentialing and privileging processes and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and manage priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and report findings.
• Demonstrated independence with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate credentialing, privileging, and medical staff governance activities.
• Review, analyze, follow up on applications, and ensure policy compliance.
• Prepare and present materials for Credentials Committee meetings.
• Mentor other credentialing specialists and provide department support.
