Smooth Media in New York City is seeking a Senior Creator Manager to own and grow a roster of 15+ creators, driving growth, retention, and monetization with autonomy.

You will source new creators, advise partners, mentor other managers, and collaborate with Brand Partnerships to scale opportunities while shaping how the team operates. NYC-based in-office Mon-Thurs; OTE $185k–$225k in year one.

Qualifications

• Experience advising and growing creators, talent, or media businesses with revenue growth.
• Experience finding and winning new relationships and bringing them on board.
• Strong track record of long-term relationships in creative business.
• Solid relationship-management fundamentals: trust-building, strategic talks, cross-team coordination.
• Sharp commercial instincts to spot growth or brand opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Spot undermonetized creators and build concrete plans to improve monetization.
• Partner with Brand Partnerships to bring high-quality opportunities.
• Help creators build out their teams and onboarding processes.
• Mentor other Creator Managers and share learnings.
• Contribute to Smooth's internal playbook and team processes.
• Represent Smooth externally with professionalism and trustworthiness.

About the Role

Reports to: CEO

We're looking for a Senior Creator Manager to join our growing team. You've already proven you can run a roster, and now you're ready to operate with real autonomy, manage a larger book of business, and help shape how the rest of the team works. You have a complete command of the playbook, deep commercial instincts, and the trust of every creator you work with. You don't wait to be told what a creator needs, you already know, and you're already three steps ahead on it.

This is a senior, high-ownership role for someone who's built and grown a roster before, has real independent sourcing wins on the board, and is ready to mentor others while continuing to build their own book of business.

What You'll Do

• Own a roster of 15+ active creators, with full accountability for their growth, retention, and monetization
• Serve as the primary point of contactand genuine strategic partner for every creator on your roster, delivering honest, objective feedback creators trust and come back to
• Independently sourceand close new creators, without relying on inbound or existing relationships to carry the work
• Know the revenuetrajectory of every creatoron your roster, and proactively identify and build the right brand and growth opportunities for them, rather than waiting for Brand Partnerships to bring options to you
• Spot undermonetized creators on your rosterand build a concrete plan to change that
• Act as a true partnerto our Brand Partnerships team, bringing clear, high-quality opportunities, communicating creator priorities in a way that drives revenue, and exercising strong judgment on what will actually work for a given creator
• Help creators identify when they need to buildout their own team, and support them through finding and onboarding the right people
• Mentor and support other Creator Managers, sharing what you've learned and acting as a go-to resource for the team
• Contribute directly to how Smooth operates, whether that's refining our internal playbook or improving how the team works together
• Represent Smooth externallyin a way that reflects our standard: kind, thoughtful, sharp, calm, and someone the industry trusts

What We're Looking For

• Experience advising and growing creators, talent, or media businesses, with a track record of helping them increase revenue
• Experience finding and winning new relationships, whether that’s creators, clients, or partners, and bringing them on board yourself
• A track record of long-term relationshipswhere the people you work with stay, grow, and do better over time
• Strong command of relationship managementfundamentals, including trust-building, preparing for strategic conversations, and coordinating across teams
• Sharp commercial instincts, with the ability to spot a growth or brand opportunity and bring it forward on your own
• Experience helping creators, founders, or clientsbuild out their teams and systems
• A history of making the people and processesaround you better, whether through mentoring others or improving how a team operates
• Must be NYC-based(in office Mon-Thurs)
