Job summary

Red Carrot is seeking a hands‑on Creative Manager to lead creative across our federal client portfolio. You will shape strategy and direction while actively producing work yourself, guiding a small multidisciplinary team in design, multimedia, and social media for multiple contracts.

You will ensure brand standards, plain language, and Section 508 accessibility, and you’ll bring in new tools and workflows, including AI, to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, film, marketing, or related field.
• 8+ years hands‑on creative experience across multiple disciplines.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring designers or creative staff.
• Portfolio showing hands‑on work across disciplines (required).
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Advanced PowerPoint skills for designing proposals and presentations.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative strategy and concepts for federal campaigns.
• Personally create work across design, video, photography, and content.
• Lead a small multidisciplinary team and provide feedback.
• Oversee social media creative and platform‑specific content.
• Plan and manage video/photo production from concept to final edit.
• Present concepts and rationale to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage workflow, timelines, and priorities across contracts.
• Ensure brand standards, plain language, and 508 accessibility.
