Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in New York is seeking a Senior Property Manager (CRE) to oversee a substantial portfolio and lead the Property Management staff. You will coordinate third‑party relationships and drive property management strategy across the portfolio.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and experience managing complex real estate operations. Travel between properties and interfacing with owners are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of real estate property management or related experience.
• CPM, RPA, or CSM designation.
• Possess real estate license.
• Strong knowledge of finance and building operations.
• Proven experience in management, evaluation, development, and motivation of subordinates.
• Ability to effectively manage a team of professionals, including both employees and vendors.
• Experience in analyzing and negotiating commercial lease and/or contract language.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and exercise functional responsibility for property management business.
• Provide overall property management leadership through policy development and program interpretation.
• Lead Property Management staff and promote career development.
• Track budget variances and ensure smooth cash recovery.
• Oversee billing process including invoices and fund disbursement.
• Monitor cash flow and requirements with Property Manager.
• Prepare reports, annual budget, and owner communications.
• Support prompt collection of management fees and reimbursements.
• Maintain interface with third-party owners for contract compliance and reporting.
• Resolve tenant relations issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Perform regular property inspections with staff.
• Oversee construction projects with Construction Manager and approve contracts.
• Ensure compliance with policies, codes, and regulations.
