Santander US seeks an Associate, Portfolio Management & Oversight - Appraisal Reviewer to support the Appraisal Department by analyzing and resolving complex appraisal issues, documenting results, and assisting the CRE Appraisal Manager and staff.

The role involves reviewing reports, engaging appraisers, and ensuring compliance with federal/state requirements and internal policies, while contributing to audits and ongoing CRE valuation knowledge.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
• 5+ years in commercial real estate appraisal/valuation, appraisal review, or review in a regulated financial institution.
• Experience with appraisal management software (e.g., C360, RIMS) and financial modeling.

Aufgaben

• Solicit bids for appraisal/valuation services as needed.
• Engage fee appraisers to complete assignments as needed.
• Independently review appraisal reports to ensure reasonableness and compliance.
• Ensure appraisals meet regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Assist with audits and ad hoc analyses for the appraisal manager.
• Stay informed on current CRE valuation trends and developments.
• Serve as a resource to third-party vendors and appraisal management companies.
• Communicate with Bank colleagues on appraisal and valuation matters.
