Job summary

webAI in Austin, TX is seeking Senior and Staff Engineers to build secure, distributed AI infrastructure. You will design backend synchronization, data sharing, and privacy-preserving components across edge devices and cloud-isolated systems.

Development will be in Rust; prior CRDT and peer-to-peer networking experience is valued. Join a team focused on decentralized systems and contribute to architecture, testing, and security considerations.

Qualifications

Experience with CRDTs and distributed data structures.
Experience in peer-to-peer or decentralized networking frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced synchronization and networking systems across edge and cloud.
Architect data synchronization frameworks using content addressable storage, Merkle trees, CRDTs.
Lead performance tuning, debugging, and optimization under intermittent connectivity.
Ensure security-first design with threat modeling and cryptographic primitives.
Collaborate with MLOps, Infrastructure, and Security to deploy in air-gapped systems.
Maintain testing, observability, and validation for reliability and compliance.
Participate in architectural discussions and documentation for stakeholders.
