Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is seeking a Senior Managing Consultant in Crash Reconstruction to lead forensic investigations, testify in legal proceedings, and grow the firm’s client base. This role requires extensive engineering and litigation experience, with leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

You will develop independent opinions, write and present technical reports to clients, and mentor junior staff while advancing strategic business opportunities within ESi.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S./Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or allied discipline with extensive consulting/industry experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• ACTAR certification is a plus.
• 10+ years of technical litigation consulting experience in Crash Reconstruction and Product Liability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex forensic investigations with a multidisciplinary team.
• Serve as a testifying expert in depositions, arbitration, and trial settings.
• Develop and defend independent expert opinions supported by engineering analysis.
• Write technical reports and present to clients and colleagues.
• Build and maintain direct client relationships with attorneys, insurers, and industry clients.
• Direct resources, funding, and staffing for project phases within time and budget.
• Identify opportunities to expand client base and develop engagements.
• Direct laboratory and field investigations including failure analysis and materials characterization.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical growth of the firm.
• Participate in strategic business development initiatives.
