Job summary

Kiewit Equipment Services is seeking a Crane Manager to lead crane operations across active projects and ensure proper selection, mobilization, inspection, maintenance, and operation in line with safety standards and project needs.

The role partners with project leadership, equipment teams, crane services, safety, operations, and vendors to deliver reliable, cost-effective crane support while traveling as required within the U.S. and internationally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in crane operations or heavy equipment management.
• Strong understanding of crane safety, lift planning, inspections, and signaling.
• Proven ability to lead and communicate with project teams and subcontractors.
• Experience with equipment management and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead crane operations support for projects, including selection, mobilization, utilization, demobilization, maintenance readiness, and operational planning.
• Support lift planning, crane management plans, site-specific crane management plans, crane coordination meetings, crane move planning, and critical lift reviews.
• Verify crane inspections, documentation, certifications, operator qualifications, rigger and signal person qualifications, and required records.
• Provide field leadership for safe crane setup, maintenance, repair coordination, daily readiness, equipment reliability, and compliance with company crane and rigging procedures.
• Coordinate with equipment, safety, operations, engineering, vendors, subcontractors, and Crane Services to resolve crane-related risks, technical issues, downtime concerns, and resource needs.
• Use company systems to track equipment status, maintenance history, utilization, inspections, work orders, costs, and readiness for project execution.
