Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Crane Manager to lead crane operations, maintenance readiness, lift planning support, and compliance across active projects in the Power sector.

You will partner with project leadership, equipment teams, crane services, safety, and vendors to deliver safe, reliable crane support while ensuring inspections and documentation are current. Travel within the U.S. and abroad is expected as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in crane operations or related field.
• Strong understanding of crane safety, lift planning, inspections, rigging, signaling, and operator qualifications.
• Ability to lead and communicate with project management, equipment teams, safety personnel, field supervision, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Experience using equipment management systems and scheduling tools.
• Willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally and work hands-on in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead crane operations support for assigned projects, including crane selection, mobilization, utilization, demobilization, maintenance readiness, and operational planning.
• Partner with project teams to support lift planning, site-specific crane management plans, crane coordination meetings, crane move planning, and training.
• Verify crane inspections, documentation, certifications, operator qualifications, and required records are current and properly maintained.
• Provide field leadership for safe crane setup, maintenance coordination, daily readiness, equipment reliability, and compliance with procedures.
• Coordinate with equipment, safety, operations, engineering, vendors, subcontractors, and Crane Services to resolve crane-related risks and resource needs.
• Use company systems to track equipment status, maintenance history, utilization, inspections, work orders, costs, and readiness for project execution.
