Tompkins Bank & Trust is seeking an experienced Compliance leader to oversee CRA, Fair Lending, HMDA, and related programs across the organization. You will partner with business lines, monitor risk, and support regulatory examinations while guiding reporting, data analytics, and trainings.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, strong communication, and collaboration with executives, regulators, and field teams to strengthen CRA and community development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; related experience preferred.
• Minimum of five years in compliance, regulatory oversight, risk management, lending, or related financial services.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CRA, Fair Lending, HMDA, banking regulations and compliance practices.
• Experience interpreting laws, assessing risk, and delivering practical recommendations.
• Strong analytical skills for data-driven conclusions and action plans.
• Excellent communication with executives, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office and compliance/reporting systems.
• Experience in lending, mortgage, real estate, or related banking functions preferred.

Responsabilités

• CRA and Fair Lending program leadership to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Oversee regulatory reporting, data governance, and analytics for CRA/HMDA data.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and remediation planning.
• Engage regulators and internal stakeholders; support examinations and communications.
• Provide training and guidance on CRA, Fair Lending, and HMDA requirements.
• Collaborate with lending, mortgage, servicing, and branch teams on compliance initiatives.
• Prepare materials for management, committees, and the Board of Directors.
