Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation seeks a skilled CPU Power Architect to drive power efficiency from architectural modeling through RTL and silicon validation. You will collaborate with software, architecture, RTL, physical design, and validation teams to identify power-saving opportunities, guide key design trade-offs, and deliver highly efficient CPU products with strong performance-per-watt.

Base salary ranges are 152,000 USD to 241,500 USD (Level 3) or 184,000 USD to 287,500 USD (Level 4); applications

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ASIC power measurement and optimization.
• Strong understanding of leakage and dynamic power in VLSI circuits.
• Experience with RTL and netlist power analysis tools such as Power Artist, PrimeTime PX, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CPU microarchitecture and its impact on power.

Responsibilities

• Pre-silicon power estimation across C-model, RTL, and netlist stages.
• Power optimization: identify inefficiencies and drive design improvements with architects and PD engineers.
• Test development: create targeted power characterization tests for simulation and silicon.
• Silicon validation: set up power measurement and compare results to pre-silicon estimates to refine models.
• Cross-functional collaboration: partner with multiple engineering disciplines to enhance power efficiency.
