Job summary

Nuveen is seeking a Transaction Counsel CPACE to support origination, closing and asset management of C-PACE financing transactions valued from $10,000,000+ as well as potential capital market involvement. This in-house role requires a Law Doctorate and 3+ years in real estate finance, with 5+ years preferred.

The successful candidate will draft agreements and manage diligence across complex deals at Nuveen's New York location.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Law is required.
• 3+ years of law firm or in-house legal experience representing commercial real estate lenders.
• 5+ years of law firm or in-house legal experience representing commercial real estate lenders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drafting commercial C-PACE financing and related agreements.
• Performing legal due diligence on C-PACE transactions, including review of capital stacks, environmental status, borrower documents, title work, and related contracts.
• Reviewing closing, conveyancing, loan, and corporate resolution documents.
• Tracking transaction tasks, parties, and key dates, and communicating progress to the team.
• Coordinating recordation of closing documents and post-closing matters.
• Conducting basic legal and business research.
• Assisting with research, development, and rollout of new lines of business.
• Supporting capital market transactions as needed.
