Job summary

ADP, Inc. seeks a County Engineer in Salem, NJ, to lead all county highway, bridge, traffic, and civil engineering functions. The role directs planning, design, construction, and maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and coordinating with regional agencies.

The position requires a PE license in New Jersey, strong leadership, and extensive experience in governmental engineering. Salary range is $160,000–$180,000 with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field required.
• Graduate degree in Civil Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers county highway, bridge, and transportation programs and plans.
• Prepares and reviews engineering plans, specs, contracts, and cost estimates.
• Leads staff, departments, and project teams; ensures compliance with regs.
• Represents the County with regional transportation agencies and planning bodies.
• Oversees budget, grant applications, and compliance with federal requirements.
