Job summary

The Ascendancy Group LTD is seeking a Counterintelligence Subject Matter Expert for a full-time role in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. The ideal candidate will bring deep CI analysis expertise, experience in technical CI risk mitigation, and the ability to support institution-building to enable complex operations.

Applicants must hold a TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility, and be prepared for travel (<25%); prior experience with SA requirements in joint environments is preferred. This role offers challenging missions within a mission-focused team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of operational experience in counterintelligence and counterespionage against hard target adversaries.
• TOP-SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility; polygraph may be required.
• Executive level communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide CI advisory and analysis support, with emphasis on technical risks to operatinal teams and decision makers.
• Assist in the preparation, execution, and post-mission assessment of operations.
• Identify CI risks, threats, and indicators; provide actionable mitigation strategies.
• Develop and deliver CI guidance, awareness, and best-practice recommendations to personnel.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure integrated CI support.
• Produce clear reporting and documentation to support ongoing requirements.
