Job summary

Alpharus Health seeks a licensed behavioral health professional to provide counseling and assessments at our Atascocita correctional facility in Humble, TX. You will develop treatment plans and coordinate discharge for clients with dual diagnoses, while mentoring staff and supporting program quality.

Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree in a relevant field and Texas licensure (LCSW/LPC/LPCA/LMSW). Prior corrections experience is a plus; security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
• Current Texas license: LCSW, LPC, LPCA, or LMSW.
• Minimum 4 years of clinical experience in substance use and dual diagnoses preferred.
• Experience in corrections environment a plus.
• Ability to obtain security clearance as required by Harris County.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive assessments and treatment planning and provides counseling services to clients.
• Develops and implements complex treatment and discharge plans for clients with dual diagnoses, social or mental health issues.
• Serves as professional resource to others in resolving complex case problems and may provide clinical supervision as needed.
• Develops and may facilitate trainings for treatment staff.
• Assumes responsibility for overseeing counselors in absence of supervisor.
