Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work and relevant licensure (or eligible to be licensed within 12 months) within the State of Missouri.
• Experience in college/university counseling is preferred.
• Specialized training in trauma-informed care and related therapies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, and case management to students.
• Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions for diverse mental health concerns.
• Deliver services with ethical practice, cultural humility, and responsiveness to diverse identities.
• Provide consultation to students, faculty, staff, parents, and campus partners on mental health.
• Develop and facilitate outreach programs, workshops, trainings, and prevention initiatives.
• Participate in crisis response and risk assessment activities per departmental procedures.
• Collaborate with campus departments and community partners to support student success and wellness.
• Represent Counseling Services on university committees and initiatives.
