Amazon in Seattle seeks a Corporate Counsel for the Customer & Partner Trust Legal team to advise on seller identity verification, enforcement strategy, and global compliance. You will partner with product, engineering, and policy teams to design scalable, compliant solutions that protect customers and legitimate sellers while enabling global growth.

This role requires JD and bar admission, with at least 5 years of post‑bar experience; the team covers cross‑jurisdictional issues and complex

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience.
• Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in one state.
• Experience mixing corporate law firm and in-house work.
• Experience implementing scalable compliance solutions in regulated environments.
• Ability to counsel product, commercial and regulatory teams.

Responsibilities

• Directly advise leadership and influence strategic programs.
• Advise on product, commercial, and regulatory matters.
• Counsel on seller identity verification technologies and fraud prevention.
• Support development of AI and other techniques to detect bad actors.
• Advise on pre-litigation disputes and manage outside counsel.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, litigation teams, and privacy/regulatory groups.
• Protect sellers from abuse while ensuring global compliance.
• Contribute to external engagement pillars and proactive legal initiatives.
