Job summary

Larson Maddox, on behalf of a leading global law firm, seeks a Senior Counsel with extensive litigation experience to join its California Trial & Defense practice in Los Angeles, Irvine, or San Francisco. This hybrid role offers exposure to general liability, product liability, premises liability, and aviation-related claims.

You will manage complex matters from inception through trial, take and defend depositions, handle discovery, and participate in hearings.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the California Bar.
• Experience taking and defending depositions and managing all phases of discovery.
• Strong motion practice, legal research, and legal writing skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and prioritize deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests and other substantive litigation filings.
• Attend hearings and argue motions in state and federal court.
• Prepare cases for mediation, trial, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Maintain direct communication with clients and provide strategic case updates.
