BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Senior Associate or Senior Counsel in California with 7-10+ years of experience in insurance defense. The ideal candidate is a proactive litigator with excellent writing skills, capable of independently managing the discovery process and assisting in trials.

The role requires admission to the California Bar and proven success in all aspects of litigation, with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
• California Bar Admission is required.
• 7-10+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Excellent legal writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 10-20 matters.
• Investigate claims and develop case strategies.
• Draft and respond to discovery.
• Review and analyze documents for production.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft pleadings and motions and submit them.
• Attend hearings and argue motions.
• Prepare cases for mediation or trial; participate in mediation/trial.
• Report to clients and supervise associates and paralegals.

Requirements
