Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Maintain licensure to practice law in the State of Ohio.
• 5 years of legal experience in research and innovation transactions.
• Experience negotiating complex agreements in high-volume environments.
• Expertise in federal research compliance, NIH/NSF/DOD or related regimes.

Responsibilities

• Lead as lead attorney on complex research agreements including sponsored research, clinical trial, MTAs and CDAs.
• Negotiate sophisticated contracts and advise on structures balancing research integrity and risk.
• Develop templates, playbooks, and contracting workflows for research agreements.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on international research transactions as needed.
• Support governance initiatives and advise on NIH and federal agency requirements.
