Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law.
• Extensive experience with defined benefit and multiemployer retirement plans and ERISA.
• Strong ability to collaborate across functions to deliver practical legal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal legal advisor to Empower's defined benefit and multiemployer businesses.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on ERISA, tax, fiduciary, and regulatory matters.
• Support product development, governance, and compliance initiatives.
• Partner with teams across Product, Operations, Client Service, Sales, Investments, Marketing, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, Technology.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and foster a culture of practical, business-focused legal advice.
