Job summary

Tyson & Mendes in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Counsel with 8+ years of insurance defense to join our LA team. An active California bar license is required.

This role offers leadership opportunities, ownership of matters from strategy to resolution, mentoring junior attorneys, and direct client and carrier relationships. The firm provides a flexible work model with remote/hybrid/onsite options and a base of $160k-$190k plus benefits.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-approved school is required and must be licensed in your state.
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation.
• Strong deposition, mediation and motion practice experience; trial experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a case strategy and manage complex litigation from inception to resolution.
• Lead depositions, mediations and motion practice; handle court appearances and trials.
• Direct client and carrier relationships; mentor less experienced attorneys.
• Provide leadership and direction to junior colleagues and contribute to firm strategy.
