Dwight Capital LLC, a leading commercial real estate finance firm, seeks a qualified attorney to join its Legal department in New York City. The role focuses on financing, joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, working with executive management and outside counsel to provide precise legal support.

The ideal candidate holds a NY-licensed JD with 4+ years in CRE transactions, REITs and loan syndications.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
• At least 4 years of experience in law firm or in-house with a focus on commercial real estate financing transactions.
• Experience with REITs preferred.
• Experience with loan syndications preferred.
• Experience with healthcare assets preferred.
• Experience with property acquisitions and dispositions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Counsel and outside real estate counsel on financings, acquisitions, and dispositions.
• Negotiate joint venture and loan documentation with partners, borrowers, lenders and other parties.
• Draft and negotiate contractor, architect, engineer, and design consultant agreements for development projects.
• Support risk management, litigation matters, and compliance with real estate policies and laws.
