Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Senior Counsel to support the Premium Products & Experiences (PPX) team. You will advise on legal risks, regulatory considerations, and business strategies for premium credit card products and customer experiences.

You will partner with business teams and cross-functional partners to translate legal risk into practical guidance. This hybrid role requires a JD, active bar admission, and 5+ years of attorney experience.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
At least 5 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm environment, at a government agency, as a military judge advocate, or as in-house counsel.

Responsibilities

Identifying and assessing legal risks associated with Capital One’s premium credit card business;
Knowing your business in depth so you can interpret laws, regulations and legal requirements for the business teams and the business intent for the legal team and legal subject matter experts;
Actively engaging with colleagues to provide legal support as part of a collaborative and cross-functional team;
Working with PPX, Card, Brand, the Business Risk Office, Corporate Communications, and Compliance stakeholders to address risks, develop creative solutions, and resolve issues.
