Job summary

NBCUniversal, a leading media and entertainment company, seeks a Senior Counsel for Platform Distribution & Partnerships. The role focuses on negotiating and managing distribution agreements across NBCU’s linear and streaming properties, Peacock, and related apps, while coordinating with various business units.

The position is hybrid, based in New York, NY, with potential overtime during key deals. A law degree and bar admission are required, along with extensive experience in entertainment

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience negotiating high-stakes contracts and managing complex distribution agreements.
• Experience in media licensing and distribution transactions.
• Ability to provide business-facing, actionable legal advice to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and interpret complex distribution agreements for TV stations, Peacock and apps, and FAST channels.
• Provide practical legal advice to business teams on current and future agreements.
• Partner with NBCU business and legal personnel to maintain deal alignment and information flow.
• Stay current on law and technology developments related to media content distribution and privacy.
• Serve as a strategic business partner to executives, resolving contract interpretation issues.
• Handle additional matters as directed by the division’s Senior Vice President.
