Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) is seeking a Counsel, Operations to manage complex contracts and regulatory matters across government and commercial programs in Denver. The role emphasizes negotiating leases, vendor agreements, and information protection while guiding business teams on risk and compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Juris Doctor with an active U.S. license, strong communication, leadership experience, and the ability to work with cross-functional groups to align contractual terms

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience in corporate practice and complex contracts.
• Ability to handle multiple legal disciplines and advise senior leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication to translate legal concepts.
• Eligibility for U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Advise business teams on legal and compliance risk across programs.
• Draft, review, and negotiate leases, vendor contracts, NDAs, software agreements, and real estate documents.
• Provide guidance on IP, data rights, licensing, and protective strategies.
• Support facilities matters and risk management for manufacturing/launch ops.
• Collaborate with security/compliance to align terms with practices.
• Develop corporate policies and advise on regulatory affairs.
• Manage outside counsel and teaming arrangements.
