Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC is seeking a Counsel for Operations to manage complex contracts and transactions across government and commercial programs. You will advise on legal risk, draft and negotiate leases, vendor agreements, NDAs, and technology and data protection contracts, and guide intellectual property strategy.

The role requires a JD, an active U.S. law license, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Relocation is available, with travel about 10%.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience in a corporate practice.
• Ability to adapt and support new and complex legal matters in multiple legal disciplines.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate legal concepts to business guidance.
• Ability to lead projects and direct both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Advising ULA business teams on legal and compliance risk.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Providing guidance on intellectual property and data rights.
• Supporting facilities matters including leasing and environmental compliance.
• Collaborating with security and compliance teams to align contractual terms.
• Preparing and implementing corporate policies.
• Advising on regulatory and legislative affairs.
• Managing outside counsel and coordinating with teaming arrangements.
