Job summary

The role requires independent judgment, limited supervision, and frequent contact with clients and internal/external stakeholders.

Hybrid work with three days in the office and no travel.

Qualifications

• IP licensing, registration and development experience.
• Experience negotiating technology contracts (pilot projects, AI tools, SaaS, cloud platforms).
• Sound judgment and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for IP matters including trademark/patent portfolios and licensing.
• Support technology transactions: pilots, software, SaaS, data, cloud platforms and related services.
• Advise on general commercial contracts with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align legal strategy with business needs.
• Develop, maintain, and refine contract templates and clause libraries.
• Manage outside counsel to maximize efficiency and protect the company.
• Communicate legal advice clearly to senior management.
• Draft memoranda, policies, and governance materials.
• Monitor legal trends affecting the utility industry and internal teams.
