Job summary

Infleqtion, Inc. is seeking a Senior Counsel, Government Contracts to report directly to the Chief Legal Officer and collaborate with business development, program management, engineering, and finance on government contracting matters.

Approximately 70–80% of the role focuses on leading and supporting complex federal contracts, with the remainder handling broader legal and operational duties in a lean, high-impact legal team for a NYSE-listed company.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience in federal government contracting.
• Substantial responsibility for federal government contracting; top-tier firm or in-house defense contractor preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FAR and DFARS; OTAs experience required.
• Experience supporting DoD or federal research and development programs, ideally as a prime contractor or with defense/tech or research organizations.
• Working knowledge of IP and data-rights issues under government contracts and related flow-down/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the negotiation, interpretation, and management of government agreements including OTAs, federal contracts, subcontracts, and collaboration agreements.
• Advise business and program teams on FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, and lifecycle requirements.
• Identify and help manage legal and business risk involving IP, data rights, cost/pricing, audit, cybersecurity, export control, and domestic sourcing.
• Lead internal coordination on significant government-contracting issues, including strategy, approvals, and customer communications.
• Partner with Export Control and technical stakeholders on ITAR/EAR concerns as they intersect with programs.
• Develop practical templates, playbooks, and training to enable rapid, compliant business execution.
