Job summary

AMD in Austin, Texas seeks a business-minded commercial attorney to lead the legal team supporting Global Procurement and Global Operations. J.D. or LL.B. from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with a state bar.

Responsibilities

Scale, lead and develop a high-performing legal procurement team overseeing the attorneys and paralegals who structure, draft and negotiate commercial procurement transactions.
Direct procurement transactions, including components, materials, assemblies, contract manufacturing, manufacturing services, and product purchase agreements.
Strategic capacity reservation and supply assurance transactions, including multi-year commitments, capacity reservations, prepayment arrangements, and single-source/sole-source supply structures.
Major indirect procurement, technology, licensing, and other commercial agreements.
Advise senior leaders on deal strategy, risk, and execution, and independently lead high-impact matters.
Continuously improve contracting processes to scale with company growth.
