Tyson & Mendes seeks an accomplished General Liability Insurance Defense Litigation and Insurance Coverage Attorney in California. The role demands courtroom confidence, strategic leadership, and a track record of managing high-exposure matters.

You will lead and mentor teams, handle court appearances, and drive outcomes across general liability and insurance coverage matters, with flexibility for office, hybrid, or remote work. California bar is required and 8+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar license in California.
• 8+ years of litigation experience in general liability insurance defense and coverage matters.
• Proven ability to manage full case responsibilities including discovery and trial.
• Strong MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to think independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop case themes and strategy for defending general liability and coverage matters.
• Lead court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials.
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate across experience levels.
• Maintain client communications and cultivate client relationships.
• Manage time and resources efficiently across complex litigation matters.
