Job summary

SaidGig in the United States seeks an experienced attorney to help train AI models on substantive legal tasks. You will translate real-world practice into precise tasks, standards, and evaluations, working with research and program management teams.

This role targets practicing lawyers at counsel or senior associate levels. It is a full-time, on-site/hybrid Bay Area position requiring on-site collaboration several days per week.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor with admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
• 8–15 years of substantive post-qualification practice at a law firm, corporate legal department, regulator, or court.
• Hands-on use of large language models and the ability to distinguish sound legal reasoning.
• Excellent written communication and the ability to provide precise, well-structured feedback.

Responsibilities

• Review legal knowledge-work tasks and model outputs, identifying missing behaviors, weak reasoning, and answers that would not meet professional legal standards.
• Write instruction specifications and model solutions that establish accurate standards for legal problem-solving.
• Create legal tasks, benchmarks, and evaluation sets that reflect actual legal practice and measure model improvement.
• Help develop legal-specific skills and tools with the research team.
