CareerNerds, LLC seeks a Senior Counsel to join its Labor & Employment practice in California, with locations in Los Angeles and Irvine. This hybrid role offers significant responsibility for case strategy, client interaction, and trial work, including mentoring junior attorneys.

Ideal candidates have a JD, active CA Bar, and substantial background in representing employers in labor and employment litigation, including public entities.

Formación

• Active California Bar admission in good standing.
• Significant background in labor and employment litigation representing employers.
• Public entity representation strongly preferred.
• Ability to independently manage litigation through all phases.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a sophisticated caseload of 10–20 employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Investigate claims, evaluate exposure, and develop comprehensive strategies.
• Analyze complaints in state and federal courts and draft responses.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other court filings.
• Take and defend expert and fact witness depositions.
• Attend court hearings and argue motions.
• Coordinate pretrial and trial submissions and mediation/trial preparation.
• Maintain direct communication with clients regarding strategy and developments.
