Position Summary

Join the Litigation team and advise business and leadership about legal rights, obligations and risks while managing a docket of commercial litigation cases for the world’s largest retailer. This role will have a particular emphasis on employment litigation.

What you'll do...
  • Create legal strategies for the Company’s employment litigation matters.
  • Develop business best practices and procedures that will mitigate corporate risk.
  • Manage outside counsel and legal spend for employment and other commercial litigation matters.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to internal stakeholders.
  • Identify the need for legal support for business transactions and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage technology to streamline processes, communication, and workflows.

What you'll bring…

  • You’re a subject matter expert in employment litigation, for both liability and damages across multiple jurisdictions.
  • You are a subject matter expert in employment law.
  • You have first or second chair trial experience, particularly in employment litigation.
  • You are driven to execute and to act quickly.
  • You work proactively and leverage preventative measures in the spirit of protecting stakeholders, customers, and employees.
  • You are process-minded and look for opportunities to streamline for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You have strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Law degree from an accredited law school and 5 years’ experience in law.
License to practice law in at least one state.

Preferred Qualifications...

Leading cross-functional teams.
