UnitedHealth Group, a global health care leader, seeks a senior attorney to support its Digital Pharmacies and Payer Relations team. You will handle a wide range of issues affecting pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance while providing strategic legal counsel to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree is required.
• Active license in state of residence
• 8+ years of attorney experience in a law firm or in-house corporate setting
• Significant contract negotiation experience
• Experience with large transactions and acquisitions
• Healthcare and pharmacy law familiarity
• Knowledge of the Federal False Claims Act and Federal Anti-Kickback Statute
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Ability to prioritize under time constraints

Responsibilities

• Advise the Digital Pharmacies and Payer Relations Team
• Counsel on pharmacy product, operations and regulatory requirements
• Provide strategic legal counsel to leadership on initiatives
• Lead negotiation, drafting of complex commercial agreements
• Advise executives on legal, regulatory risks
• Support the 340B business
• Collaborate with Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Privacy, Finance, Corporate Development
• Develop understanding of business operations to provide proactive advice
• Mentor other attorneys and legal professionals
• Collaborate with senior leaders to balance risk and objectives
