Job summary

United Launch Alliance, located in Denver, is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to manage complex contracts and provide strategic legal guidance across programs, including government and commercial work.

The role focuses on transactional law, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, with leadership responsibilities and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. The position supports leasing, real estate, IT, and manufacturing operations while ensuring ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience in transactional corporate or commercial law.
• Ability to manage multiple complex legal matters.
• Strong communication to translate legal concepts into business guidance.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal business teams on legal and compliance risk across programs.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (vendor, licensing, NDAs, MSAs, leases).
• Provide guidance on intellectual property, data rights, and licensing strategies.
• Advise on data privacy, cybersecurity, and information security laws and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, ISO 27001, NIST, CMMC).
• Support facilities matters including leasing, construction, environmental, health and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with security, compliance and technical teams to align contractual terms with operations.
• Prepare and implement corporate policies; advise on regulatory and government contracts.
• Supervise outside counsel and manage teaming arrangements for effective representation.
