Headway is seeking a Senior Counsel, Corporate & Risk to partner with Procurement, Finance, Customer Experience, and Communications during a pivotal growth phase. You will manage third-party contracting, disputes, and corporate insurance while shaping risk-aware strategies.

The role requires a J.D. from an accredited law school, active NY in-house counsel eligibility, and 5+ years of legal experience (2+ in-house). Headway offers comprehensive benefits and a fast-paced, AI-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience, including at least 2 years in-house.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth start-up environments (healthcare preferred).
• Hands-on ownership of complex contracting at scale with risk-aware judgment.
• Strong emotional intelligence to act as face of Legal to cross-functional partners.

Responsabilités

• Own third-party and vendor contracting, including first-pass review and escalations.
• Lead disputes and escalated requests in collaboration with Customer Experience and Communications.
• Oversee Headway’s annual corporate insurance cycle and ongoing administration.
• Address other corporate and risk matters in a fast-growing startup environment.
